And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, Beware that you pass not such a place; for thither the Syrians are come down.

So the man of God would send a message to the king of Israel, "Be careful not to go by that place. The Arameans are hiding there."

So the man of God sent a message to the king of Israel, warning him, "Keep an eye on that area, because the Arameans are going to be there!"

But the prophet sent this message to the king of Israel, "Make sure you don't pass through this place because Syria is invading there."

The man of God sent word to the king of Israel saying, "Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Arameans are coming down there."
